Bernadette L. Gniadecki

Bernadette L. Gniadecki (nee McKay) passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the age of 92.
Bernadette is survived by her loving husband Stephen E. Gniadecki of 63 years, devoted daughters Bernadette B. (Dean Van de Kerchove) and Sheila (Frank Panella), and sons Stephen and Jack.
She is lovingly remembered and cherished by her grandchildren; Sarah (Shelby Vanderside) Anna Van de Kerchove, and Liz, Joe & Emily Panella, and great grandchildren Ayden, Conrad & Kayden.
Brothers, sisters and in-laws; Richard & Brigid McKay, Dr James Canavan, as well as the late Mae Foss, Eleanor & James Redmond, Kitty McKay, Marguerite (Peg) Canavan, Ann & Bill Beilfuss, and Jack, James & George McKay, Josephine (Ginger) & Andrew Kosmic, Chester & Vera Gniadecki, Stella & John Kubowicz, Edward & Angie Gniadecki, Genevieve (Jean) & Mitchell Koprowski, Stanley & Georgia Gniadecki, and Ann McMullen…as well as countless wonderful nieces & nephews.
Bernadette was born on April 25, 1929 to Irish immigrants John F. and Margaret (nee Boyd) McKay. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School on Chicago’s southside. She met and married Steve in 1959 and they started their family.
Our hearts truly ache, but they will be filled with her energy & humor forever.
Family and friends will gather for Memorial Visitation Tuesday, November 23, 2021 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. for a celebration of Bernadette’s life at Sacred Heart Church 8245 West 111th St. Palos Hills, IL 60465                                                                                                                Interment Private
