Arvin A. Stege Age 90 years, U.S. Army veteran of Korean War. Long-time resident of Matteson, recently residing in Varna, Illinois, passed away suddenly on October 27, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Ruth N. (nee Seehausen) ; loving father of Susan (William) Kennedy, Sandra (Mark) Isaac, the late Thomas (Diane) Stege; cherished grandfather of Bill Kennedy, Katherine (Clint) Paraday, Andrew Stege, Tracey (Matt) Travis, Erik Kennedy, Brandon (Tracy) Isaac, Debra (Roderick) Quiambao, Kristin (Ryan) Roberts and Shannon (Mark) Avelar. Cherished great-grandfather to Cole Paraday, Thomas, Ethan, and Sophia Quiambao, Cody and Caleb Travis, Addison and Lillian Stege, and Bridget, Caitlin and Nolan Isaac. Devoted son of the late Arthur and Edna nee Bartling Stege; dearest brother Elvert Stege. Arvin retired from Stege and Son Construction after building their retirement home at Lake Wildwood. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling and fishing.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 4800 Sauk Trail, Richton Park, Illinois. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Matteson, IL
